Dover Furnace Bridge Repair Notice
Notice from the Dutchess County Department of Public Works: Starting on or about April 1, 2013, CR 26 (Dover Furnace Rd.) will be closed to through traffic at this location and a detour put into place. The bridge is located between Ore Bed Road and Vincent Rd. The detour will follow NYS Route 22 to CR 26. It is anticipated to be opened to traffic in September of this year. Delays should be anticipated when utilizing this route. Please contact the Dutchess County Department of Public Works at (845) 486-2925 with any questions. Thank you.

Dover And Pawling, NY Awarded Appalachian Trail Distinction 
Click here to learn more about the award Harpers Ferry, WV (March 05, 2013) – The Appalachian Trail Conservancy (ATC), along with the New York-New Jersey Trail Conference approved the application for partnership to officially designate Dover and Pawling, New York as an A.T. Community™. The collaboration of these two communities working to protect and celebrate the Appalachian Trail (A.T.) paid off this past weekend with the approval to become the newest Appalachian Trail Community™.
