Burning

Burning regulation changes issued by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC) went into effect on October 14, 2009. Effective October 14, 2009, no burn permits are allowed to be issued by the Town of Dover. Burning of downed limbs and branches (with leaves or needles still attached) that are less than six inches in diameter and eight feet in length is only permitted between May 15 and the following March 15^th.
